Raritan appointed local distributor Anixter to help it reach un-tapped markets for the company’s range of enterprise data centre technology and services in Australia and New Zealand.
Gary Hull, ANZ director for Raritan said the announcement followed a surge in demand for the company’s data centre management tools such as intelligent power distribution units (iPDU), data centre energy management, rack environmental and rack management solutions.
He said Anixter had expertise in data centre facilities level management solutions including power, cooling, rack/environmental management and structured cabling, adding that the company’s data centre structural enablement tools would “compliment and extend the reach of Raritan’s range into new markets”.
“This new partnership provides Raritan the opportunity to access a preexisting, competent channel community capable of addressing what have been to date relatively untapped markets,” Hull said.
Tim Martin, managing director of Anixter Australia, said that the deal would provide a “significant boost” to Anixter’s Australian and New Zealand operations.
