The managing director for the Australia-New Zealand arm of Netherlands headquartered Microsoft solutions provider, Cassandra Ashworth has resigned.

A statement from the company said Ashworth will step down from Rapid Circle ANZ for personal reasons.

Ashworth was appointed in June 2024, and joined from Indian IT giant Wipro, where she held the head of enterprise application sales and services role for Asia-Pacifici, Middle East and Africa.

Rapid Circle's global chief executive Harold Punter said Ashworth had successfully delivered a turnaround and refreshed platform for the company to grow in the 2025 financial year.

"We sincerely thank Cassandra for her efforts in laying the foundation and initiating the next phase of growth for Rapid Circle in 2025, Punter, who is also the company's co-founder, said.

A new chief executive for Rapid Circle ANZ will be announced soon; in the meanwhile, Rapid Circle co-founder Daniel McPherson will fill an interrim role with the local office.

Rapid Circle added to its Australian executive team in October last year.

The company announced it had hired Brian Williams as chief information security officer, and Frederique Dennison as alliances director, to support its continued expansion.

It counts Toyota, Hunter Water, Judo Bank and the University of Sunshine Coast as customers in Australia.
