Cybersecurity vendor Proofpoint has appointed Nelson Soon as vice president of channels and alliances for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
Soon joins from another cybersecurity vendor, Imperva, where he was the vice president for APJ as well.
In his new role, Soon will oversee Proofpoint's channel and alliance operations across the APJ theatre.
He brings extensive experience in IT and cybersecurity, having previously held senior channel leadership positions at companies such as Imperva, Gigamon, Extreme Networks, Ixia, and Agilent Technologies.

Soon will be based out of Proofpoint's Singapore office, where he will focus on facilitating partners' contributions within the framework of human-centric offerings that address current cybersecurity threats.
