Ports Victoria is seeking an IT partner to deliver a data analysis system to track and analyse vessel movements and traffic patterns.
Established in July 2021, Ports Victoria manages maritime navigation and safety for the state's commercial ports, including Port Phillip channels and regional channels, waterside emergency and marine pollution response and the Station Pier cruise shipping facility.
In a request for tender published on 15 December 2023, Ports Victoria said it is seeking an on-premise or SaaS solution that provides big data analysis capability and associated professional analysis services.
The solution will analyse vessel transits in the port waters of the Port of Geelong, the Port of Melbourne and the Port of Hastings.
The successful partner must supply as-built documentation, including software architecture, infrastructure and integration configurations of the solution.
The project also requires providing support and maintenance as well as training for Ports Victoria staff.
The contract will run for five years with the option for two additional two-year extensions.
The request for tender will close on 2 February 2024.
