Polycom has announced Paul Newell as vice president for Australia and New Zealand.
“I have engaged with the ANZ market for over 12 years now in various roles, and wanted to have more of a direct impact,” said Newell.
In his new role, Newell will be responsible for all aspects of operation in the region.
Newell is a 20-year veteran in the IT industry, and has been with Polycom since 2008. Before this appointment, he was vice president, systems engineering and service sales, Asia Pacific.
The appointment of Newell comes after the April hiring of Scott McCool as group vice-president of IT and CIO.
Polycom is a global company that provide video conferencing and communication services.
