Police hunt Harvey Norman break-in suspects

Thieves fled with a number of computers, laptops and mobile phones from a Harvey Norman store last week, NSW police have alleged.

Two people broke into the Harvey Norman store in Ballina Homemaker Centre in northern NSW on 30 June, with the Richmond local area command receiving an alert at around 1:30am from the Boeing Avenue business.

"A large number of electronic items were stolen from the premises, including numerous computers, laptops, mobile phones, game consoles, camera equipment, fitness trackers and headphones," announced the police.

"Officers found signs of a break-and-enter, and there was also significant damage to the interior of the premises."

Harvey Norman Ballina confirmed to CRN that the robbery had taken place.

CCTV footage shows a car stopping at the front entrance of the store and a man in a grey hooded top coming out of the car and looking into the shop. A second person in a black hooded top joins him and they are seen breaking glass shelves and carrying several items out of the store.

A car was spotted leaving the scene at high speed and was last seen heading north on Tamarind Drive. The police are currently searching for the vehicle and the suspects.

NSW Police is urging anyone with information to come forward.
