It has been awarded a multi-year, national managed services contract with Philip Morris Ltd.
Anton Meakin, general maanger of Victoria and Managed Services, PKBA said the tobacco company was looking for IT service management for services such as help desk and associated field services.
The contract marks completion of the transformation of the Invizage business acquired by PKBA last year.
"We see a tremendous opportunity in the managed services business line, particularly in the current economic environment, where companies are conscious of extracting value for their dollar," said Conrad Hilder director of business development PKBA.
"PKBA will seek to leverage its integrated national sales and delivery model to drive managed services into SMB, mid-market and regional Australia," he added.
Commenting on the Citrix award, Hilder said the company has had some significant wins recently including the Tasmania Department of Health, Mineral Deposits in South Australia and Southern Downs in Queensland.
"For a company like ours to win the Citrix Partner of the Year 2008 is very significant because we are only two years old," said Hilder.
"We are now looking to acquire growth around the country. Combined IT and telecommunications is going to pay dividends for 2009," added Hilder.
PKBA was created in February 2007 to deliver integrated IT, voice and data and business solutions to SMB, mid-market and regional organisations across Australia.
