The two companies that operate together within Australia themed the event around their German heritage.

Guests enjoyed beer from steins as they were waited upon by girls in traditional German dress and serenaded by an accordion player.

"The Oktoberfest function in Melbourne was a great success, with over 75 people visiting the stand," said John McCarl marketing manager Rittal and Phoenix Contact.

"The event lifted our profile among the contractor customer base and was a fun and relaxing way to wind down after a great show day."

Connections Conference is organised by Laurence and Hanson Group Electrical Suppliers, distribution partners for Rittal and Phoenix Contact.  

The conference is an opportunity for suppliers to exhibit their products for contractor customers.

Contractors were given first hand information on Rittal's new service programs: Rittal Xpress and Rittal 4 Racks.

Also, Phoenix Contact's innovative Bluemark Printer.  The new marking system uses power saving LED technology reducing energy consumption by 90 percent and capable of printing 10,000 labels per hour.

The next Rittal and Phoenix Contact Oktoberfest will be at the Laurence and Hanson Group Connections event at the Sydney Exhibition & Convention Centre this Thursday, 19 March.
