The treasure chest on CRN's stand proved popular, with resellers given a key as they entered the show to try in the chest's lock.

Director David Mathews of Crystal Approach won the first prize - a two-drive Iomega NAS donated by parent company EMC, Ingram Micro's most recent signing which was announced earlier that day.

Sony's Bluray demonstration was a hit, as was Adobe's stand showing the latest version of Photoshop.

The program can splice together videos made from single photos, resize pictures without distorting the content and create 3D images.

Adobe, Kyocera, Microsoft and Logitech also handed out prizes.

John Walters thanked the resellers for attending and announced the departure of Tech Pacific veteran Lyn Deutrom, ACT branch manager, who stepped down after 18 years of service to the company.

Also, Walters announced that Meagan Nicke, who looks after Ingram's ACT Diamond program, had accepted the same position in Sydney. Nicke, originally a Sydneysider, said she had made many friends in Canberra but was very happy to be moving back to her home town.

The ACT changes were part of the distie's restructuring, announced last week. "I'll be sleeping on my sister's couch until I find a place," said Nicke.
