Perth reseller mulls Queensland expansion

Reseller R-Group is considering following its resource clients to the East Coast by expanding to Queensland.

The company was recently appointed as one of nine common use arrangement (CUA) suppliers by the Western Australia government. The $10 million dollar company joins heavyweights such as HP, Fujitsu and Amcom.

Now it is chasing national expansion to fuel the growth.

Managing director Josh Newton said: "At this point, we're examining our capacity to open a Queensland office organically. We already have a person on the ground in Queensland."

Queensland would be ideal because R-Group's existing resource-based customers are established there, Newton said. "We have a lot of customers asking us if we're going to open there.

As a CUA supplier R-Group will be able to supply hardware and solutions to different agencies.

"Governments and businesses have to come to this panel when they want to choose products. The panel will also allow us to directly approach different organisations to give them an insight into our services and pricing."

Newton said R-Group has been doubling its revenues each year for the last four years.

"We just had word we are one of the Deloitte's Fast 50 this year. We'll head to Sydney on the 19th of November to find out our placement."

R-Group employees 41 staff and is based in Perth, Western Australia.
