Perth Microsoft partner iCatalyst expands nationally

Perth-headquartered Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) consulting firm iCatalyst has announced its national expansion with the addition of consultants in Victoria, Queensland and NSW.

Established in 2021, the firm has nearly 50 staff and offers services covering D365 ERP and CRM as well as Power Platform.

It claims customers in industries including mining, diversified engineering and construction, property development, government, health, not-for-profit and professional services, including "approximately a dozen ASX-listed organisations."

In May 2023, iCatalyst has developed a CRM solution for Western Australia Return Recycle Renew Limited.

iCatalyst said its new interstate team will add to its over 35 Perth-based staff, with their onboarding coming "on the back of some significant project wins and client acquisition."

The company has won D365 ERP and CRM implementation projects, advisory engagements and long term support contracts with companies headquartered in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand.

New Sydney-based hire

As part of the expansion, iCatalyst has announced the appointment of Trent Cooney as client account executive.

Cooney was previously in sales and account management roles with Brennan IT and prior to that was NSW account manager for DXC Technology’s Microsoft Practice.

Based in Sydney, he will be tasked with managing iCatalyst’s mid-market clients and identifying client acquisition opportunities.

"I'm genuinely thrilled about the opportunity to work with iCatalyst. It's truly fantastic to reconnect with familiar names and encounter plenty of new ones across the iCatalyst delivery teams," Cooney said.

"Having tracked iCatalyst's impressive growth since the business was launched in 2021, I'm genuinely excited to contribute to the companies continued success and expansion. It’s an exciting time to come onboard. I'm eager to support iCatalyst's journey, making it even stronger."

iCatalyst's director Justin Martin said the company is "excited" to have Coony on board.

"Our leadership and a number of our consulting team had worked with Trent for many years at another organisation, so there is certainly a sense of familiarity, and also confidence, from both sides."

"Trent knows our team can deliver great outcomes for our customers and we know he is a professional, well respected account executive, so in the end it was an easy decision to get Trent onboard to help us manage our client base and help us continue to expand on the eastern seaboard."

"Trent’s significant experience and his relationship driven, professional and ethical approach to account management is very much aligned to our ethos and how we like to engage with our customers. It is an important position for us, and we are thrilled Trent is onboard as we continue our national expansion."
