Aggie Szemplinska has departed Veeam to become the new ANZ channel manager for storage acceleration vendor PernixData.
Veeam confirmed that Szemplinska, who served for two years as its NSW and ACT partner business manager, left last month.
"[Veeam] is currently reviewing candidates for the position, and expects to fill this role in the near future," said a spokesperson for the software vendor. "Aggie played an important role in growing and developing Veeam’s channel presence and go-to-market efforts in NSW and ACT."
A PernixData spokesperson confirmed to CRN that Szemplinska is the new channel manager, adding that the company is "excited about the expansion occuring in ANZ".
Before Veeam, Szemplinska spent over three years at distributor Avnet, initially as VMware business manager then adding on Veeam duties later.
The switch from Veeam to PernixData is not unprecedented. In December, ANZ regional field sales manager Jonathan Silver ended a four-year stint at Veeam to become PernixData's ANZ sales executive.
US vendor PernixData started its Australian operations February last year, hiring Simon Williams as its first employee in the role of Asia-Pacific sales manager. Williams departed in December to be appointed Sandisk's new Australia country manager.
That same month, Sandisk's previous country manager Yasser Elgammal switched to Dicker Data to fill the position of sales, cloud and vendor alliances general manager that arose from the distie's restructure.
