Symantec-owned PC Tools has signed Dick Smith as its first retail partner after 12 years of online-only sales.
Initially, PC Tools will be in 30 large-format shops before it expands to the rest of the outlets next year.
PC Tools Spyware Doctor with Antivirus, Registry Mechanic and Internet Security bundle would be available.
Robert Oostergetel, director of sales at PC Tools, said the deal extended the company’s customer reach and availability.
He pointed to Symantec’s 2008 acquisition of PC Tools in 2008 as helping to “leverage the opportunity".
