Virtualisation and automation software provider Parallels has opened an office in Sydney.
The decision to open the office was a direct result of "rapid local adoption", John Eng (pictured), Asia-Pacific VP of marketing and alliances for Parallels said.
To head up the office, the company appointed Neil Morarji as general manager and Alexei Anisimov as sales engineer.
Morarji is responsible for Parallels' relationship with partners and two distributors, Conexus and Software Only.
Anisimov provided technical support for customers and partners in Australia and New Zealand.
Retail partners included the Apple Store, Harvey Norman, David Jones, Dick Smith Electronics, Myer and Nextbyte.
The software was also available through major Apple Premium Resellers including MacOne, StreetWise, MacCentric and ComputersNow and online through Harris Technologies and Streetwise Software.
Parallels allowed people to use Windows on their Mac at the same time without rebooting, said Eng.
