Panasonic Australia has appointed Ted Cofie as group manager of unified communications, covering telephony solutions, ranging SIP and PBX.
The role within the Business Systems Group (BSG) will see Cofie – a former commercial sales manager of Canon Australia – focusing on supply chain management and strategic business planning.
Cofie joins Panasonic with more than 15 years in sales and management experience, specialising in project management, leadership and developing and mentoring sales teams.
BSG director Jason Coleman said: "Ted comes to us with a wealth of experience from sales and consulting backgrounds, most recently with Canon, and his skills and drive for success are a very welcome addition to the leadership of BSG.
"Unified communications offers great opportunity for us at Panasonic, and Ted will be working closely with our key distributor and resellers to continue our success in the market.
"He will also be spending time with end users to complement and support our channels, so that we can continue to tailor innovative solutions to business requirements," added Coleman.
Previous to his position at Canon, Cofie held management roles at print solutions provider Fulton Francis and British retailer Shop Direct Group.
