Panasonic BSG chief quits after three months
Departed Panasonic BSG head Stuart Craig.

The director of Panasonic Australia’s Business Systems Group, Stuart Craig, has quit after only three months on the job.

Craig took the role in March of this year following 19 years with the Hills SVL Group. His final role at Hills was as group general manager.

The previous incumbent, Mark Deere-Jones, held the role of director of the Business Systems Group for four years. He resigned in January of this year, and is currently sales and marketing director at IT service provider XCMG.

Panasonic chief Steve Rust said Craig’s departure was a shock, but he had received the proverbial “offer that couldn’t be refused.”

“He did some great things while he was here, and it’s been a shock. He was well-liked,” Rust said. “We’ll draw a breath this week and then get on with recruiting.”

Rust said Craig didn’t tell him what the new role is, and Craig has yet to update his LinkedIn profile.

The BSG role will be covered by Rust until a replacement is found.

Craig did not respond to CRN's request for comment at the time of publication.
