Orca Tech is calling on the IT channel to help raise $50,000 for Indigenous and underprivileged kids in remote communities by sponsoring its car in the Variety NSW Bash 2024.
Having set off from Gunnedah on 19 May, Orca Tech's general manager Craig Ashwood joined around 300 others on a journey through regional NSW and Queensland in the distributor's "Team Irwins" car.
Ashwood has taken the wheel of the 1967 HR Holden alongside good friends Tim Hutchinson and Gordon Ninness, with the trio expected to reach the finish line in Newcastle on 25 May.
"It is such a privilege and honour to be part of a great event that dedicates its funds and support to kids in need across Australia," Ashwood said in a LinkedIn post.
"2023 was my first Bash and it was one of the most heart warming and fulfilling life experiences. You honestly have no idea what it means to underprivileged kids throughout our nation until you experience the event."
"Please help Orca Tech to reach our goal of raising $50K for this fantastic cause by donating whatever you can. It is tax deductible and every cent we raise goes to Variety for kids in need."
Last year, Orca Tech and associated sponsors and supporters raised $38,588 in the Variety NSW Bash.
