Optus Business director of information technology Apurva "Aps" Chikhalikar has taken a new role at ServiceNow.
Chikhalikar (pictured) takes the vendor's newly created position of chief strategy officer for Asia Pacific & Japan after eight years at Optus, originally at its Alphawest subsidiary and as director of IT from January 2013.
"Having rolled out a successful ServiceNow implementation at Optus, and having experienced first-hand the great efficiencies and transformational benefits we were able to achieve, the opportunity to join ServiceNow in a new strategic role was too good to turn down," said Chikhalikar.
At ServiceNow, his remit will include driving industry collaboration; technology partnerships; and partnering with institutional leaders, special committees and consultants to support the execution of key initiatives around the region.
Chikhalikar will also be responsible for communicating and implementing the company's IT strategy internally and externally for employees, partners, suppliers and contractors.
Optus Business is a significant partner of many of the leading technology vendors, boasting top level partnerships with the likes of Cisco, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP Inc and Microsoft. The company was named a CRN MVP in 2016.
