Optima launches 3CSHOP
Optima ICM has launched 3CSHOP - a channel network for independent resellers looking to increase business in the digital home market.

Resellers select products from a 3CSHOP catalogue and the agency acts as a facilitator, negotiating discounts with vendors on behalf of the group and backing them up with marketing.

David McGill, sales manager, 3CSHOP said home content such as photos, music, TV and video is rapidly turning digital, prompting the convergence of traditional computer, consumer electronic and communications [3C] products into a single digital home solution.

“We believe it is an ideal time for resellers to capitalise on the digital home trend, and so have developed 3CSHOP to help them focus on selling a complete solution.”

Independent resellers that often find it hard to compete with retailers in the digital home space due to size and buying capacity can use 3CSHOP to purchase products from a range of vendors rather than buy products in bulk.

“While 3CSHOP is a subsidiary of Optima ICM, it will act independently from all other businesses under the Optima banner,” said McGill.

“3CSHOP is a purely reseller driven business, established to better sustain the channel and enhance its market capability.”

The 3CSHOP catalogue will be distributed to a registered group of resellers on a bimonthly basis from April onwards, featuring products from several local and multinational vendors.

Cornel Ung, executive chairman, Optima ICM said “this type of buying power and services have been particularly developed to support the growth of the digital market, better equipping traditional IT resellers to move from selling low margin products to high margin digital home solutions.”
