Nutanix seeking third ANZ managing director in three years as Howard Fyffe departs

Nutanix has revealed it is looking for a new managing director for Australia and New Zealand after the departure of Howard Fyffe from the company.

Nutanix confirmed to CRN that Fyffe left the company after serving for just over a year, after being appointed in September 2016.

"Howard Fyffe has left Nutanix and we wish him well in his future ventures. We are currently seeking a new managing director to continue support of our clients' transition to multi-cloud environments and drive opportunities with our customers and our partners,” Nutanix senior vice president and head of Asia-Pacific & Japan Matt Young said.

“In the interim, I will work closely with Jeff Smith, senior director APJ systems engineering, who will manage the day-to-day responsibility for the Australia and New Zealand business."

Fyffe was brought in one month after former ANZ managing director Wayne Neich was promoted to an Asia-based role looking after Nutanix's Dimension Data relationship.

Prior to joining Nutanix, Fyffe spent 13 years with Cisco’s ANZ operations in various executive roles, including APAC data centre practice lead and director of its internet of things (IoT) division.

Howard Fyffe did not immediately respond to CRN’s inquiries.

In December, Nutanix appointed Andrew Diamond as its ANZ channel director, replacing Niall O'Gorman who left the vendor in September to join Amazon Web Services’ channel team.
