NSW hosting and internet service provider Harbour of Technology has received a formal warning from the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
The company, trading as HotNet, violated the Telecommunications Consumer Protections Code by not publishing critical information summaries for its broadband plans on its website.
ACMA said in a statement that all comms providers are required to publish the summaries, which include prices, charges and contract terms presented in a pre-determined manner.
The industry watchdog noted that HotNet had remediated the situation since the 15 August warning. CRN verified that the critical information summaries were now posted on the hosting provider's website.
Since the start of TCP Code in September 2012, ACMA has handed down 111 formal warnings, 10 directions to comply and one infringement notice for not following a direction to comply.
HotNet is located in the NSW coastal village of Sawtell, 10km south of Coffs Harbour. The business offers NBN and ADSL2 services, web hosting, domain name registration, as well as resale of consumer hardware and software.
