NSC forecasts more Sun business

Under the partner agreement, NSC has established a dedicated Sun practice headed by Michael Salama, an ex-senior executive at the vendor.

Salama will lead a team of 22 former Sun sales executives and systems engineers.

NSC's media representative told CRN, its Sun people are located in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Wellington, with Perth and Canberra still to come.

Craig Neil, managing director at NSC Group, said the company has been a Sun partner since early 2008.

"We see this as a logical extension of current desktop virtualisation focus," he said.

"NSC will provide specialised resources in Sun systems, storage and software products and provide organisations with help as they look to embrace Cloud computing and improve data centre effectiveness."

Neil said the services-lead approach combined with the integrator's established business, will help it to achieve its forecasted revenues (from the Sun practice) of $25 million by end of the financial year in 2010.
