Nextgen Distribution has signed monitoring software vendor SolarWinds for the Australian channel.
Nextgen will offer the full suite of SolarWinds' software, which includes automation tools for network management, system management, IT security and database management.
“We wanted to look at the next breed of vendors that could help us take a solution to the channel that would drive a comprehensive automation management suite,” said Nextgen managing director John Walters. “That’s where SolarWinds comes into its own.”
SolarWinds also distributes through Ingram Micro and M.Tech in Australia.
Senior vice president and general manager of Solarwinds Pacific John Rizzo said the latest addition is part of a push for market growth in Australia: “We were looking to add more partners with expertise in the Australian market, so Nextgen was able to add to the cloud side of things."
As part of the push, Rizzo relocated to Sydney to oversee SolarWinds’ Australian operations.
The deal also sees SolarWinds become Nextgen’s exclusive automation management partner. The two companies will work closely together in developing a go-to-market strategy for SolarWinds’ database solutions.
“Going forward, we’ll be adjusting our strategic approach to the specifics of the Australian market,” said Rizzo.
“Compared to the US, we’re like a start-up in Australia, that’s why we’ve aligned ourselves with a nimble, technically skilled partner in Nextgen. It just makes sense for us, and we’re going to learn a lot about the market here.”
SolarWinds is a vendor from Texas that provides automated software monitoring solutions for databases. It has over 150,000 customers in the USA, ranging from small to large businesses and MSPs.
