NextDC joins Pulse Data Centre in Queensland government's data centre panel

NextDC has been tapped by the Queensland government to provision data centre-as-a-service (DCaaS).

The colocation provider is the newest member of the state government’s ICT supplier panel for DCaaS, joining Toowoomba-based Pulse Data Centre.

Like Pulse, NextDC will provide state government departments and agencies pre-negotiated pricing and conditions from its B1 CBD and B2 Fortitude Valley data centres.

“NextDC’s appointment to the supplier panel for data centre services is an important step forward for the Queensland government,” NextDC chief executive Craig Scroggie said.

“We’re delighted to be formally working with the Queensland government. We share the same values in our passion for innovation, using technology to advance business and doing it responsibly and ethically in support of driving new opportunities and a better future, filled with greater resources for generations to come.”

NextDC was appointed by CITEC, a division of the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works.
