New country manager takes reigns at Hitachi
Based in Sydney, Vincent replaces Mark Kay, who has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific.

Vincent will be responsible for driving Hitachi’s business strategies and setting performance goals across the region. He will also oversee the company’s channel programs and will manage major sales.

Vincent has experience in a country management role, having previously worked in this position for Hitachi Data Systems in Korea where he drove the company’s corporate strategy and led Hitachi to perform at triple the market growth rate.

While serving in this role he delivered the world’s largest archiving and data retention project for the Korean Government. He also has a background in international sales, management and marketing across Japan, South Asia and the former Soviet Union.

Vincent said he is looking forward to working with Hitachi and has several strategies ready ti implement to capture more of Australia’s storage marke.

“I look forward to driving another year of growth leveraging our expert team and the unique capabilities of Hitachi’s offerings to address the growing challenges our clients face around managing costs, mitigating risks and business continuity,” he said.

“Hitachi’s Australia and New Zealand operations have seen significant growth over the past four years, and I am confident that my client-centric approach and execution discipline will enable us to capture significant market share, becoming the preferred storage solution partner in the region.”

Mark Kay, senior vice president and general manager APAC for Hitachi Data Systems, said he was confident Vincent’s appointment as country manger will help Hitachi continue to expand its operations in the region.

“Neville Vincent brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to his new position with over 18 years experience in the Asia Pacific region and a solid commitment to Hitachi. With Neville’s appointment, we have a very solid management team in place to elevate Hitachi’s leadership position in the region and to expand our customer footprint,” he said.
