Netskope brings LLM capabilities to platform

Network security vendor Netskope has launched an AI assistant and is previewing the ability to connect large language models (LLMs) with its security platform.

The company’s new One Copilot for Private Access capability automatically recommends policies for new applications and configuration optimisations for existing application segments and policies.

The company claims the assistant can help optimise the deployment of universal zero trust network access, and potentially represents a path toward retiring virtual private network and network access control products.

Netskope’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server will allow LLMs to interact with its One platform controls in a controlled manner.

The product is built using the open MCP protocol to connect LLMs to Netskope’s Management APIs, allowing LLMs to gain context from a Netskope environment for analysis and workflow automation.

The server comes with suggested prompts to cover use cases including version analysis, incident summary and status reports, investigation suggestions and insider risk analysis.

The company said the two products, which are underpinned by Netskope’s proprietary SkopeAI, can also help address the issue of shadow AI - unsanctioned AI applications in use by employees.
