NetComm has broadened its product portfolio with the acquisition of C10 Communications, for $3.2 million on a debt and cash free basis.
C10 is an Australian-based designer and manufacturer of telco products.
Its product portfolio has a range of DSL filter products - including a patent pending VDSL filter technology which is under development.
David Stewart, managing director at NetComm said it believes the VDSL and VDSL 2 is likely to experience "growth in the world markets over the short to medium term".
He said, NetComm's relationships with telco providers and ISPs are also strengthened through C10's customers that include; Telstra, AAPT, Primus Telecom, Internode; and TPG.
"We are confident of the underlying strength of the C10 business and the value it will bring to the consolidated NetComm in terms of additional client relationships, product offerings and increased presence," said Stewart.
C10's parent company, Lemarne Corporations also received a further $3.2 million, by way of return of capital/dividends during the month of April, he said.
