NetApp has overtaken Google to top the BRW annual 50 Best Places to Work list 2010.
Google topped the list last year only to come fourth this year.
A number of technology companies made the list, including Distribution Central, which shifted down seven places from its 15th place ranking last year to come 22nd this year.
Peter O'Connor, vice president for NetApp Australia and New Zealand, said the company is "thrilled and honoured" with the ranking.
"Our talented employees are our greatest asset and the driving force of our business. Their passion and dedication is fundamental to NetApp's success, both in Australia and around the world," he said.
Scott Frew, CEO of Distribution Central, said the company is "very proud to have been listed for the second year running.
"Our employees are what set us apart in a competitive market, and to this end we've invested in 33 new staff this current financial year."
The BRW list of the Best Companies to Work for is based on the research of The Great Place to Work Institute Australia, which bases its final decision on employee responses.
