Xpanse has announced its appointment as the first-ever Western Australian-owned and operated NetApp star partner.
The data solutions provider was able to attain the qualification after meeting criteria for revenue, purchasing, investment and service quality.
Another reason for Xpanse's promotion, the company said, was its ability to facilitate a large team of sales and technical specialists capable of designing and supporting optimum implementations of NetApp solutions at any scale.
"Xpanse has demonstrated their commitment to NetApp solutions for over 10 years and are very well positioned to continue growing in the Australian market in 2016," NetApp ANZ channel director Neville James said.
Xpanse was selected as a finalist for reseller of the year in the 2015 NetApp ANZ partner awards.
Xpanse director of sales Malcolm Cole said the closer relationship with NetApp would help Xpanse provide better value and service to customers, and specialised support. "Our new star partner status recognises our ongoing investment in and commitment to NetApp technologies."
NetApp last month announced a worldwide 12 percent a worldwide 12 percent reduction in staff. The announcement came after the company reported US$1.39 billion of third-quarter revenue, which was US$160 million down from the previous quarter.
