NBN reseller Prime Broadband has ceased operations and offered its customers the chance to transfer their services to DCSI Internet.
The announcement was made through email, saying that Prime has ceased operations from 31 January and that Warragul, Victoria-based DCSI will be able to take over the provision of internet services. The email was posted by a Prime customer on web forum Whirlpool.
DCSI confirmed to CRN that it has started to take over the provisioning for a number of Prime Broadband internet services last week.
A representative for Prime Broadband said the company’s closure was due to “personal reasons”.
The email to Prime customers read "DCSI share many of the values of Prime Broadband and deliver the same key features – Australian owned, Australian-based support team, no fixed term contracts, and an emphasis on service."
“With more than 20 years in the industry, and a focus on performance, stability and sustainability over the long term, we could put you in no better hands than DCSI.”
Prime said DCSI has assigned a dedicated migration team to ensure all Prime Broadband services “transition smoothly” to DCSI’s systems.
“Prime Broadband would like to thank you for the support we’ve received from you all, and to thank DCSI for stepping in to ensure this transition takes place with minimal impact,” the email read.
