The National Broadband Company (NBN Co) has announced that it will hold a series of roadshows, beginning in Sydney and Melbourne in January 2010, to discuss broadband product options with potential wholesale and retail ISP partners.
Late this afternoon, the company will release a 'Product Consultation Paper' which it said will "provide an outline of NBN Co's product plans for the national broadband network."
Interested parties are encouraged to send it written submissions in response to the discussion paper to ensure "open consultation" with the industry.
The options presented in the product consultation paper will then be discussed at industry forums starting in Sydney and Melbourne in late January 2010, before rolling out to other capital cities.
In a statement released today, NBN Co said the roadshows are "designed to provide industry participants with the latest information on the development of the NBN Co product set.
"These forums offer an opportunity for all industry players and interested stakeholders to learn more about the operational and product-based aspects of the NBN and offer their direct feedback on these plans," the company said in a statement.
The first meeting will be in Sydney on January 20 at the NSW State Library (from 2-5pm) and the second in Melbourne at the State Library of Victoria on January 29 (2-5pm).
