Navigon has announced a new version of its navigation software for Windows Mobile and Symbian smartphones.
MobileNavigator 7 calculates routes more quickly, according to the company, and includes features such as Lane Assistant and Speed Assistant to display speed limits, and optional weather updates.
A Text-to-Speech function can tell users which way to go at each junction, while the Reality View displays signpost information as it is shown in real life at motorway exits, Navigon said.
Users can also access traffic information services and a safety camera database, while users of the Symbian version can also use the Pedestrian feature for directions while travelling on foot.
MobileNavigator 7 costs £89.99 with European map information, or £69.99 for just UK and Eire. An optional FreshMaps service buys updates over a 24-month period for £79.99.
The Symbian version of MobileNavigator 7 runs on phones with Nokia's Series 60 3rd edition user interface, while the Windows Mobile version can be used on handsets with Windows Mobile 5, 6, or 6.1.
MobileNavigator 7 is available now from Navigon's online store.
