Mid-Comp seeks local channel partners
Stockman is a shrink-wrapped version of Mid-Comp’s Odyssey enterprise solution. Based on the same code as Odyssey, Stockman is packaged with a selection of functions that Mid-Comp claimed is tailored to SMB supply chain requirements. Competing with products from suppliers like Microsoft, Stockman offers the capacity to grow from 20 to unlimited users with no change in code.

Mid-Comp has also strengthened a long-standing relationship with IBM ahead of an aggressive push into the SMB solutions market. Joint initiatives with IBM include the promotion of hardware/software bundled solutions featuring Stockman. Mid-Comp has relationships under IBM’s ISV Advantage program and VIP program.

Steve Bridges, managing director of Mid-Comp, claimed that Mid-Comp is a key element in IBM’s aggressive iSeries push into the Microsoft white space territory.

“We have an entry level Advocacy program which comprises of paying for leads which eventuate in a sale. If it proves mutually beneficial, over time it can morph into something more substantial such as a reseller or channel partnership. We will be happy to talk to anybody regarding reseller partnerships,” he said.

Bridges claimed Odyssey is rapidly acquiring a global reputation as an “ERP giant-killer”.

“As a web-based supply chain software product, it will run on any platform (iSeries, Intel, UNIX), using any database, and any web browser. Now we are offering Stockman as an ideal solution for companies with 20 or more users who have outgrown their in-house software, yet cannot afford SAP, Oracle, Lawsons, etc. We offer low price entry with unlimited growth without changing code,” added Bridges.

Mid-Comp is also working closely with California-based OZ Global Software to locate supply chain resellers in the USA and Latin America.
