Microsoft has unveiled Dynamics GP 2010, a simplified enterprise resource planning (ERP) package aimed at providing medium-sized businesses with better business intelligence reporting and interoperability with other apps.
Dynamics GP 2010 offers personalised Role Centers, more than 400 built-in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Microsoft Excel reports, and enhanced interoperability with Microsoft SharePoint, the firm said.
Microsoft claimed that Dynamics GP 2010 workflow environments are simpler to use, and that SharePoint integration extends access to mission-critical data to more people across an organisation.
"By combining the power of business applications and productivity applications, we are able to support how people really work in their everyday jobs," said Crispin Read, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
"Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 is an excellent choice for companies experiencing growing pains with their current accounting software and looking for a solution that can scale."
The product also provides more than 350 integrated web services out of the box, deep interoperability with Microsoft Office Unified Communications, and built-in integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, said Microsoft.
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 will be available via Microsoft's partner network in Australia, from May 1, 2010.
