Brisbane-based Microsoft partner Wardy IT solutions is offering solutions to customers wanting to transition away from Oracle's grip through a number of resources to help with the process.
The company partnered with US-based Palisade Compliance to form the “Break Free Alliance”, along with the website breakfreefromoracle.com, offering resources on the legal, financial and technical aspects to help in any transition away from Oracle.
The alliance also assists with licensing, how to save, migration planning, the migration itself and post migrations support.
The service includes resources such as whitepapers aimed for database administrators, as well as a free contract review and migration workshop.
“This will help customers work out if a migration — complete or partial — is right for them and understand how to handle relationships with Oracle,” Wardy IT said in a statement.
The alliance listed bank ING Direct, the Australian Energy Market Operator and the Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator as clients.
Palisade, which houses its Asia-Pacific business in New Zealand, offers services to help ensure license compliance and “taking back control” of an organisation’s relationship with the database giant.
The company, which has no official ties with Oracle, was founded by former Oracle global vice presidents Craig Guarente and Stephen Sopko.
