Australian managed service provider blueAPACHE has launched a Human Risk Management as a Service offering powered by Mimecast, combining awareness training, policy visibility, behavioural controls and incident remediation into a single per-user monthly service for mid-market organisations.

The company claims the model is a world-first managed capability of its kind, and says blueAPACHE is the first Mimecast channel partner globally to bring it to market.

Designed for organisations with between 50 and 1,500 seats, the service addresses what blueAPACHE describes as a fragmented approach to human risk management across the mid-market - where awareness training, email security and compliance programmes have historically sat in separate service lines.

The new offering consolidates those into a structured blueprint that sits alongside the company's existing managed services and managed detection and response bundles.

Michael Zuppa, chief executive of blueAPACHE, said in the mid-market, customers are buying an outcome, not a product.

"What they need is a managed service that takes responsibility for awareness, cultural uplift, visibility, and remediation as a continuous, consistent capability," he said.

"We have been delivering parts of this for years across our vCISO, email security, and awareness training services, but the structure was not clear enough for customers to engage with it as a whole. Human Risk Management as a Service changes that."

Mimecast ANZ partner leader Lizelle Hughes said blueAPACHE has developed something that will make meaningful change for Australian organisations.

"The reality is that 8% of employees generate 80% of risk, and AI agents now operate with the same access and none of the judgment that a human brings," she said.

"Mimecast was built to detect and respond to that exposure across every channel where humans and AI agents work. This is the kind of outcome-focused thinking that moves the whole industry forward, and Australian organisations stand to benefit directly."

Mimecast was selected as the platform technology underpinning the service following what blueAPACHE described as a structured assessment of MSP-aligned security platforms, with the vendor chosen for its human risk command centre capability, training and reporting tools, and flexible subscription and licence management for service delivery at scale.

blueAPACHE has an existing relationship with Mimecast across both managed service delivery and resell and implementation for its enterprise customer base.
