The award went to SDM’s OSCAR program, a custom-developed program that allows the government to track greenhouse levels via an online reporting system.
Jamie Potter, customer relations director at SDM said the award is part of a recent trend of successful ventures for SDM.
“This is a major system for a Commonwealth agency that delivers important benefits for Australia,” he said. "SDM has supported a client base in Canberra for more than four years now, so having a direct presence in the national capital gives us the opportunity to deepen that engagement.”
The technology allows organisations to report their energy consumption and was originally developed for the Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO) to gather, track and interpret data about Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions, claimed SDM.
Charles Layton, AGO director of online reporting said: “I was really pleased to hear that SDM has been recognised for the excellent work they have done on the OSCAR project,” said SDM was appointed as the application developer for OSCAR in 2005.
