Microsoft appoints Marlow's replacement

Microsoft has appointed Michael Gration (pictured) as director of its public sector group in Australia replacing Pip Marlow who was promoted to managing director earlier this month.

Based in Canberra, Gration is responsible for government related sales and marketing accounts including defence, education and health.

Former Microsoft Australia managing director Tracey Fellows vacated her role in December after she was promoted to regional vice president.

Gration joined Microsoft in 2006 as public sector director for the federal (Canberra) market.

He has over 20 years of experience, in local and international business integration within the Federal markets, the software giant said.

“This new role brings an exciting opportunity for me professionally, since it enables me to widen my engagement with all levels of government, from health reforms to educational IT initiatives,” Gration said in a statement.
