Melbourne digital services firm Nexigen Digital has announced the relaunch of its Intaserve brand, appointing Luke Richards as its general manager.
Intaserve was established in 2001 and was acquired by US-based Hostway Corporation in 2005.
Data centre entrepreneur Jonathon Eaves acquired the company in 2012 before Nexigen Digital acquired it in 2015. The brand was subsequently retired later that year.
Nexigen said the new Intaserve will provide digital asset management and brand protection, cloud and DNS, and security and risk management services to large businesses, ASX-listed corporations and government departments.
“This is a stale market that lacks serious innovation and competition. We have spent considerable time and resources conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities while leveraging our vast array of existing resources to develop a fresh approach to service delivery that exceeds expectations in the current climate,” said Cheyne Johnstone, Nexigen's co-founder and co-CEO.
Richards joins Intraserve with nearly 25 years' IT industry experience, having held leadership positions at the likes of Melbourne IT, Citrix, CSC Global and MarkMonitor.
“I'm excited to lead the relaunch of Intaserve, which will redefine the standards of brand protection and digital asset management," Richards said.
"With the talented team we've assembled and the robust backing of Nexigen Digital, we are poised to deliver innovative solutions that will disrupt the market and provide unparalleled value to our clients.”
Johnstone said Richards "brings over a decade of experience with leading brands in corporate names and protection."
"Now, he will be given a clean slate to build a modern competitor backed by Australia's largest privately owned domain name registrar.”
The relaunch of Intraserve follows Nexigen's acquisition of the Hosting Cloud and Bluefish Hosting brands from Perth IT services and consulting firm Trigg Networks in March 2024.
