Melbourne-based integrator Southern Cross Computer Systems will provide network and security management and service desk functions for utilities company Service Stream.
The level one service desk will be operated out of Southern Cross' Global Operations Centre in Asia.
Southern Cross CEO Mike Sakalas told CRN the work was in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. "We have about 10 people in total working in the service desk team and about six will be dedicated to Service Stream."
Sakalas would not disclose the worth of the new deal or the vendors it would be working with for the network management side of the agreement.
Southern Cross won a contract to build and maintain a Citrix farm as a part of Service Stream's technology reforms last year. According to the reseller, the new additions to the account means "Southern Cross will [now] manage a large percentage of Service Stream’s infrastrcutrue operations".
The development also emphasises the growth in managed service for Southern Cross.
"Our managed services have grown year-on-year at a rate of more than 50 percent for the past five years, and we see this trend continuing," said Sakalas.
