Melbourne distie Directed Electronics Australia has signed with Californian vendor Scosche to bring its consumer gadgets to the Australian channel.
"We have no doubt the demand for the Scosche range will be extremely well received by our nationwide retail customer base," said Steve Siolis, managing director of Directed Electronics Australia.
Scosche is a 34-year old US vendor best known for automotive and mobile accessories. The Australian deal sees it pushing its fitness device range into the country, including a Bluetooth cycling cadence monitor and smartphone mount for bicycles.
The RHYTHM+ health wearable will headline Scosche's catalogue distributed through Directed. The device measures blood flow and body movement to calculate statistics like heart rate and energy burned.
The distie said in a statement that the $129 device will be available through retail resellers such as JB Hi-Fi.
Directed Electronics Australia specialises in the distribution of mobile accessories and telematics products out of its office in Victoria.
