Megaport has launched a self-titled app for Windows Phone 8.1, claiming it is the first elastic connectivity platform for all three major mobile platforms.
With the Megaport app customers can remotely order, provision and manage Virtual Cross Connects between themselves and over 100 service providers, at real-time speeds from 1Mbps to 10,000Mpbs.
Windows Phone 8.1 users can also gain access to the self-service portal to manage administrative tasks, including creating service tickets, adding service groups and managing network and account billing.
Megaport CEO and founder Bevan Slattery called the app a "crucial milestone" in the compay's growth.
Slattery said the company had decided to go with native apps for all Megaport platforms. The Megaport app is also available on Google Play and Apple's App Store.
