Melbourne-based cloud lift-and-shift player The Migration Company (TMC) has partnered with network provider Megaport to improve its capabilities.
TMC said the partnership will deliver cloud migrations using Megaport’s connectivity, claiming that migration speeds will be 40 percent faster than the competition.
“The Migration Company’s partnership with Megaport increases our time to value for our customers and continues to strengthen our 40 percent faster migration service offering,” TMC managing director Roux Visser said.
“Connecting our customers’ data centres to the cloud is now a 60 second process which represents efficiency in cloud connectivity lead times, cost savings and reduction in overall migration timelines.”
The partnership will also create a combined ecosystem of more than 300 service providers including flexible, direct connections to leading cloud services like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
“We are delighted to combine the power and flexibility of Megaport’s SDN (software-defined network) with TMC’s leading migration services,” Megaport APAC executive vice president Josh Munro said.
“As enterprises are adopting multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, connectivity plays a critical role in ensuring security, scalability and performance for cloud-based applications.”
