Dimension Data Australian took out two of the top prizes at McAfee's inaugural MPower cyber security summit for Asia-Pacific held in Sydney last week.
The cybersecurity vendor named Dimension Data Australia as its partner of the year for ANZ, and its top APAC partner in two separate awards.
The awards were handed out during the partner summit as part of the MPower conference, which was previously called Focus. It was the first time the event was held in Asia-Pacific.
Other local winners include Data#3 for growth partner of the year, Intalock Technologies for commercial partner of the year, Ingram Micro for distribution partner of the year and NEC for MSP partner of the year. Perth-headquartered Kinetic IT also won the MSSP innovation award for APAC.
Jagdish Mahapatra, McAfee head of channel sales and alliances for Asia-Pacific, said the awards went partners that embodied strategic relationships, profitable partnerships and drove better customer outcomes.
“Partners are integral to our success and lead the way in driving our entire channel to improve and deliver high quality customer outcomes,” he said.
"By working together, we can provide better solutions that benefit our customers with greater protection, faster deployment times and reduced costs.”
ANZ channel director Boreham added: "Our partners are incredibly important to McAfee and we’re proud to support them for their great work with these prestigious accolades. We offer our congratulations to each of the winners."
This year saw McAfee go through a facelift in Australia and around the world after the company changed its name from Intel Security back to McAfee. The vendor split from Intel in April and is now a US$2 billion standalone company with 51 percent ownership by investment firm TPG Capital.
