McAfee buddies up with Exclusive Networks for mid-market push

McAfee has sealed a new partnership with Exclusive Networks to distribute its full portfolio in Australia and the Pacific Islands as it looks to tackle the mid-market.

As part of the agreement, Exclusive Networks has access to McAfee's entire solution stack and paths to market, which includes managed security services.

Exclusive Networks will also build out its sales and technical capabilities across the breadth of McAfee's portfolio and will provide pre-sales, post-sales and technical services.

Exclusive Networks ANZ managing director Jonathan Odria said the distributor would also offer professional services to McAfee's partners such as installation work, consulting engagements and certified training.

"Exclusive Networks is on course to realise our goal of becoming the world's largest, global specialist distributor," he said.

"To reach this goal, we need not only to represent bleeding edge, new start-up technology vendors - but also mature, tier-1 vendors of the highest quality and reputation in our chosen market segments of cybersecurity and cloud transformation. We feel that McAfee absolutely fits into that piece of our strategy."

McAfee's distribution line-up now centres on its two Australian distributors: Exclusive Networks and Ingram Micro.

The vendor conducted a review into its distribution partnerships six months ago with the goal of finding a partner focused on the mid-market.

McAfee ANZ channel director Adam Boreham said Exclusive Networks was selected for its understanding and focus on the market.

"After exploring the market for over six months, we felt that Exclusive Networks would be a great choice of partner," he said.

"Whilst we felt they could be a great partner for McAfee, Importantly, we had to demonstrate that we could be a great partner to them, as this journey is very much a two-way street."

He added that leveraging Exclusive Networks' partner ecosystem would allow McAfee to broaden the depth of its channel with partners offering security-as-a-service and addressing new threats in the market.
