MaxiNet is an independent solutions provider that focuses on providing premium communication services to Australia’s SME Market, including a full range of traditional ISP and Voice services.
Chris Ciardi, managing director at MaxiNet, said the service provider and BigAir would be a perfect match through its ability to offer fixed wireless services to complete business connectivity product offering.
“BigAir’s wireless service has an extended reach that enables us to offer our clients premium symmetrical services where DSL just can’t reach, helping us to deliver super fast services and effectively deliver tomorrow’s speeds today,” he said.
Jason Ashton said MaxiNet came aboard during its launch in October last year. The service provider was signed after a couple of weeks.
“They are very well aligned for the segment that we deal in and that is the SME market. We could tell pretty much straight away they were a good fit for us, their mode of operation is very similar to us and works well from a cultural point of view,” he said.
Ciardi said MaxiNet have a few customers in restricted broadband areas and now it is able to fill that area by utilising BigAir.
One of MaxiNet’s major new wins through this new partnership is healthcare franchise group, HealthZone. The franchise’s central premises were located in a SHDSL ‘deprived area’, the business was in a situation where it was unable to run its operations over an ADSL service.
With the support of BigAir’s network, HealthZone now has sufficient bandwidth to run its VoIP, Internet and remote user access functions across the network; proof that BigAir is already helping MaxiNet to meet the needs of its customers perfectly.
BigAir now has over thirty resellers on board, although it’s not actively looking for a huge number its still open to new partnerships.
“We want resellers in vertical markets and also resellers that are located or have customers in geographically locations different from ours. Currently we provide services for Sydney, Melbourne and some areas of Brisbane,” said Ashton.
