MAX-SI takes on Red Hat

By on

Brisbane-based system integrator MAX-SI has stepped up its Linux software practice signing on to be a Red Hat business partner.

The company would develop a full Red Hat practice in order to meet the demand for the software in the Queensland market. 'We are especially seeing demand in manufacturing and distribution, government and education and being able to offer a comprehensive Red Hat service is highly sought after,' said Duncan Unwin, principal of MAX-SI.

The integrator planned to sell the platform to corporate clients and claimed it had already been involved in supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux in mission critical environments such as ERP, telephony systems and e-commerce infrastructure.

Sandeep Chandirimani, partner and alliances director at Red Hat said: 'Red Hat has as strong history in QLD with our South Asia Pacific headquarters in Brisbane. We also believe QLD is a key market with great growth potential.'
