The game consoles will then be sold through Australian mass consumer electronics retailer, Harvey Norman Group.
The agreement gives Manaccom exclusive rights to distribute Futuretronics game console accessories through the Harvey Norman group's retail stores nationwide.
Manaccom CEO James Mackay said the agreement fortifies Manaccom’s market position and will continue to build on the mutually beneficial relationship that Manaccom has with Harvey Norman.
“We have been a supplier to Harvey Norman for many years and are delighted to begin a new phase of growth with the Harvey Norman Group. Harvey Norman has sold millions of dollars worth of Manaccom products during the financial year ending 30 June 2007. It is expected that the Futuretronics deal will see that revenue figure grow further,” said Mackay.
According to Mackay, Manaccom was excited about the potential revenue growth this agreement is expected to bring.
“Manaccom is excited to build on its existing PC accessories segment, and we are pleased to provide a more diversified product range,” claims Mackay.
The deal follows Mannacom’s recent announcement that it would distribute software products to Harvey Norman’s newly created OFIS stores.
