M86 updates training program

M86 Security has launched a unified training program for its products, including those from recently acquired companies 8e6, Finjan and Avinti.

While M86 Security's training programs were focussed on individual products until now, the new program aimed to educate partners on technical aspects and the brand as a whole.

Jeremy Hulse, the company's APAC vice president of sales, said M86 Security had spent time putting together a global program around all its technologies.

"The company didn't want to roll-out a disparate bunch of training exercises so we're rolling it out as a single program," he told CRN.

"It's bringing together the whole suite of products that [resellers] can build into a solution, whereas they may have had experience with Marshal or other one of the other products.

The global channel training program has three training tracks: certified sales professional (CSP), certified sales engineer (CSE), and certified professional (CP).

There are three types of training resources including online training and online video training which is free, and classroom training at a cost.

M86 Security was previously known as Marshal.
