Lenovo Australia has signed up Dick Smith Electronics, Dick Smith Powerhouse and Domayne as its exclusive retail partners for Lenovo’s new hardware products.
Lenovo’s IdeaPad and IdeaCentre range of computers were designed for family focused tech-optimists, career minded consumers and entertainment driven power-users. This is one of the first time Lenovo products have been generally available in retail stores nationally.
Lenovo is also introducing Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo processor technologies – including T8300 and T9300, into the new products. The new Lenovo consumer PCs will be in select stores across Australia starting this week.
David Nicol, director of small business and consumer at Lenovo Australia and New Zealand said there’s a natural synergy between Lenovo products and Dick Smith Electronics, Dick Smith Powerhouse and Domayne stores.
Along side of the new retail deal, Lenovo Australia will offer 24 hour, seven day a week, free technical service and support to customers as part of its standard one-year warranty with any IdeaPad or IdeaCentre, said Nicol.
“Lenovo believes every customer deserves exceptional after-sale customer service and support. That is why we have invested in world-class 24 hour, 7 day a week customer service and support using Canadian-based support technicians,” he said.
For any issues that cannot be resolved over the ‘phone, Lenovo offers next day on-site technical support for IdeaCentre customers based within 100km of an Australian capital city (excluding Darwin at this stage), and on-site within two-four business days outside that zone as part of its standard one-year warranty offering, he said.
For IdeaPad customers under warranty, Lenovo is offering free courier pick-up service from anywhere in Australia, with turnaround return courier delivery of their repaired IdeaPad within five days for standard service requirements.
Any Lenovo monitor issues under warranty that cannot be resolved by the virtual Lenovo technical service and support team will be replaced with an equivalent model replacement unit.
